The Cumberland Valley Amateur Radio Club assists the Boy Scouts with Elmering for obtaining their "Radio Merit" and "Emergency Preparedness Merit" Badges. In addition to Elmering, the club also loans Equipment and Literature to the Scouts.

In October we assist the Scouts with JOTA (Jamboree-on-the-Air). It’s an annual event to link Scouts with other Scouts from around the world.
