ACTIVATION LEVEL CHART

NORMAL
No RACES/FCEN activation is anticipated.

LEVEL 3
All RACES members and those involved with Amateur Radio Emergency Communications are asked to monitor conditions. Also, please check your EMCOMM supplies, and make any preparations necessary. Activation is a possibility, but not a certainty.

LEVEL 2
All RACES members and those involved with Amateur Radio Emergency Communications are officially put on ‘standby’ alert. Please be prepared to respond to any activation request. Also, certain stations (such as the EOC) may already be activated, and staffing may be required for those stations. Please monitor 147.120 (or the alternate 146.505) for more information. Full activation of the FCEN/RACES is probable.

LEVEL 1
All RACES members and those involved with Amateur Radio Emergency Communications that are available to help are asked to check into the FCEN on either 147.120 (or the alternate 146.505), and respond if needed to any request. The FCEN will be active and the calling tree will be started.
